For I Stood Up

This series conveys a particular mood during periods of my life when the world felt and looked different. As a way of engaging people with my experience, I have underexposed the photographs as a metaphor for my state of mind at the time, a twisted reality. I have used symbolism throughout the series to help create a narrative.

I have used the crow as a menacing presence, reappearing throughout the work to represent an inner darkness.

All images are shot on 35mm / 120mm film.
